Chapter 3: Intimacy

Ji Jing took Yu Xiangsi to his nearby apartment, located beside a bar. He owned the place and sometimes came here to rest after drinking too much.
The girl seemed truly intoxicated, asleep in the passenger seat, and Ji Jing even carried her when getting out of the car.
Once inside the room, Ji Jing placed Yu Xiangsi on the sofa, casually unbuttoned his shirt, and poured two glasses of water.
“Stop pretending,” Ji Jing said calmly. “Someone who can appreciate so many kinds of liquor wouldn’t get drunk this easily.”
Hearing this, Yu Xiangsi cautiously opened her eyes, her almond-shaped eyes still bright and clear.
“You caught me,” she said shyly, standing and moving closer to him. “Then… why didn’t you expose me just now? Does that mean you’re willing too?”
Her clear gaze seemed to see through everything. Ji Jing didn’t avoid her eyes but simply asked, “Tell me your purpose for approaching me so deliberately.” A mocking smile curled on his lips. “Why? With your education and capabilities, earning money shouldn’t be hard. If you’re so calculating in getting close to me, what exactly do you want?”
He was used to women throwing themselves at him, nothing special. But this girl was different. From the three challenges she undertook—which only a few could complete—she almost succeeded, only losing because Shen Xinian cheated.
Those three tasks required a great deal of time and effort to master. Her intentions didn’t seem like just fishing for a sugar daddy. If her goal were that simple, her looks alone might have succeeded.
As for love... Ji Jing never considered such a possibility.
The girl before him maintained a focused and earnest look, as if standing before a dartboard, now watching him intently.
Yu Xiangsi knew he had investigated her. She didn’t feel panic but rather a secret joy—it meant he noticed her, she had successfully caught his attention.
She said plainly, “Because I want to be different in your heart.” She continued openly, “To be your unique one, of course, I have to put in more effort than others.”
She slowly leaned toward his lips, and he did not pull away.
He stared at her face, trying to find any hint or clue in her expression. But there was none—only admiration and focus in her eyes.
Having seen countless people, he had some insight and could tell that what she said was true at this moment.
Yu Xiangsi said, “I know people like you, Mr. Ji, fear trouble the most and prefer to buy off relationships with money. But I don’t want to be the kind of woman you can discard anytime. To increase my bargaining chips, I must work harder.” She met his gaze without hesitation, “What I can do is rely on myself to attract you.”
Her lips were almost touching his, yet if one tried to feel closely, the contact was barely there, teasing, hesitant, which irritated him. Why didn’t she just press her lips against his?
From the gleam in her eyes, he knew this was another little scheme she was playing on him. He clearly disliked such women, yet at this moment, he didn’t feel repulsed.
Yu Xiangsi noticed the stir in his eyes. Indeed, Ji Jing was proud and aloof; Gu Ze’s assessment of him was accurate—he was a restrained yet passionate man.

He was confident in himself, believing that power and wealth were mere accessories, the most valuable thing was himself. Yu Xiangsi’s words struck a chord deep within him.
However, he was also proud and arrogant, instinctively looking down on others, especially women who threw themselves at him; he always treated them as playthings. But Yu Xiangsi’s sincerity and talents truly made him see her in a new light.
He genuinely admired capable people, and she had proven herself.
His Adam’s apple moved as desire surged inside him. He cleared his throat and whispered, “…What’s your name?”
His voice was husky, betraying his emotional stirrings.
“Yu Xiangsi,” she murmured, her voice falling softly into his ear.
Almost the instant she spoke, he bowed his head and captured her lips completely.
Yu Xiangsi stiffened slightly, breath stolen, mind blank. In certain ways, men naturally held the advantage, and no matter how much she planned, when it truly happened, she was lost in a daze.
Her clumsy reaction only drew him in deeper, his passion growing wilder.
When she found herself enveloped in softness, she snapped back to reality and opened her eyes to his handsome face close by.
His dark eyes fixed on her like a beast gazing at prey, and Yu Xiangsi suddenly felt nervous.
Ji Jing sensed her tension and unexpectedly felt a pang of pity. He patiently soothed her to help her relax.
Yet his patience had limits. He was never one to compromise himself. Feeling the intensity of his feelings for her, he ceased restraining himself and gave in to desire.
Yu Xiangsi bit her lip tightly, furrowing her brows, feeling pain like never before. In frustration, she bit his shoulder hard.
Ji Jing’s eyes widened in shock, a novel tenderness blooming in his heart.
He slowed his movements to give her time to adjust.
Yu Xiangsi closed her eyes as the pain spread deep within, telling herself it was all worth it.
This was her plan, everything was going smoothly, yet she still felt a sorrow she had never known.
Tears slipped down but were gently kissed away.
That kiss held longing and warmth. He whispered into her ear, “Don’t be afraid. I will treat you well.”

Yu Xiangsi froze briefly, opened her eyes, and met his dark gaze. Her eyes flickered, then she clung to him tightly.
The girl’s affectionate posture stirred Ji Jing’s compassion.
All night, breaths and soft moans never ceased. Before she fully fell asleep, Yu Xiangsi’s only thought was that this revenge was truly hard to repay; she had sacrificed far too much for it.
When Yu Xiangsi woke, she was cradled in Ji Jing’s arms. His hands wrapped around her waist in a possessive embrace.
She opened her eyes, staring at his sleeping face in a daze.
She reached out slowly, gently touching his nose. Undeniably, he was a very attractive man, possessing qualities that could drive any woman wild.
Yet her eyes were calm, devoid of infatuation or admiration, replaced by cold scrutiny and appraisal.
Suddenly, Ji Jing grabbed her hand. “Don’t move.” He closed his eyes, his voice hoarse as he pulled her fully into his arms, holding her like a pillow.
Yu Xiangsi gasped, “Gently, I can’t breathe.”
He opened his eyes and saw the red bean bracelet on her wrist. The bright red beads made her wrist look even fairer. He held her hand and kissed it softly.
Ji Jing deliberately buried his head in her neck; the newly grown stubble brushed her skin. She laughed and playfully pushed him away.
Ji Jing steadied her in his embrace. “Didn’t you say you love me? Little liar.”
Her cheeks flushed, eyes shimmering like water. “I do.” Then she obediently stopped resisting, letting him kiss her freely.
Ji Jing was instantly pleased.
Sex was the best way to deepen a relationship. Although they met for the first time last night, they had already done the most intimate thing—close and entwined.
Their bodies fit so perfectly, as if they had known each other for a long time.
