Chapter Nine: The Cunning Little Lolita
“What? T-Touch… her butt!” Nangong Yuchen was dumbfounded; he could never have imagined that Angel would even go so far as to report such a thing to the homeroom teacher. Last time, it was clearly her who started the trouble, making him take the blame. Not only had she gotten him in trouble, but now she was turning around and accusing him instead!
Even though he had ended up smacking her pert behind, that was nothing like what she was claiming! The two weren’t even on the same level!
As soon as Nangong Yuchen processed this, rage surged within him. He wished he could grab Angel, strip her naked, and hang her up for a beating—this girl was simply infuriating!
“Why so quiet now? Weren’t you just shouting about wanting to quit school?” Shangguan Luohua seated herself back in her chair, her beautiful eyes looking at Nangong Yuchen with a mixture of contempt and disgust, as though gazing upon a lecher.
She seemed to think that even laying a hand on him would sully her.
“Uh…” Realizing this, Nangong Yuchen finally understood why the tigress hadn’t resorted to violence today. So that was it… His cheeks flushed red as he hurried to defend himself, “It’s not what you think at all!”
“Enough, you can leave. Remember, you’re on sanitation duty for two months!” Shangguan Luohua had already lost the patience to speak with him. If it weren’t for his outstanding physical ability, she would have processed his withdrawal from school on the spot. There was no way she would let a pervert like him remain in her class.
Nangong Yuchen had nothing more to say. He returned to class, feeling wronged and frustrated. Just the thought of two months of sanitation duty made him want to cough up blood.
Angel! That girl who was the source of all this misery!
Fuming, Nangong Yuchen marched up to the first row where Angel sat and snapped angrily, “Angel!”
The entire class turned to look at them in surprise.
Unfortunately, Angel, who lay with her head on the desk, ignored him completely.
“You…” Nangong Yuchen was seething. Just as he was about to grab her by her ponytail and haul her up, the bell rang, forcing him to give up and return to his seat in frustration.
But as he passed the seats of the other female students, they instinctively pressed down on their skirts. Although their movements and expressions were less intense than last week, it still made Nangong Yuchen fume.
He realized his luck had been utterly rotten lately. Last week, he’d run into that crazy woman Cheng Shiyu and had nearly become a public enemy. Whenever he encountered female students in the corridors, they either avoided or fled from him. If he hadn’t worn a mask for the rest of the week, the boys would have probably cornered him by now.
And this week was even worse. Not only did his own sister think he was a pervert, but even the homeroom teacher, Shangguan Luohua, saw him as a lecher—she wouldn’t even deign to lay a hand on him for fear of dirtying herself!
“Phew!” As these inexplicable grievances crossed his mind, Nangong Yuchen felt on the verge of tears—and violence.
At that moment, his deskmate Le Han, his little mung bean eyes shining with curiosity, asked, “Nangong, what did the homeroom teacher say to you just now?”
“Two months of sanitation duty!”
“Haha!” Le Han burst out laughing at once. The first thing he thought was: no need to do sanitation duty himself this year! Plus, he wouldn’t have to participate in the big Friday cleanings.
Only then did he pat his good friend’s shoulder with a helpless expression.
Nangong Yuchen, furious, was about to curse him out when suddenly the class erupted in chatter.
“Hey, Teacher Liu? What happened to you?”
“Yeah, weren’t you fine in class yesterday? How did you end up like this overnight?”
“Did someone beat you up?”
Nangong Yuchen and Le Han both looked up toward the platform. There stood Liu Wen, still wearing his usual glasses, but his forehead and left arm were wrapped in bandages, his old face swollen with a huge lump, his left eye bruised beneath the lens, and his nose black and blue—he looked for all the world like he’d been thoroughly beaten.
“Ahem… quiet, all of you!” Liu Wen’s words were slightly slurred. He’d originally intended to take sick leave today, but that woman Shangguan Luohua had refused to approve it, so he’d been forced to come to work in this state.
The students below were delighted—so, after all your usual tyranny, you finally got your comeuppance!
Some students, unable to suppress their laughter, asked curiously, “Teacher Liu, who did this to you? Tell us, we’ll get revenge for you!”
“Quiet! Your job is to study and train, not to worry about my affairs!” Liu Wen felt utterly humiliated. Everywhere he went in the academy, first-year students would look at him curiously, feigning concern but wearing grins as bright as chrysanthemums. It made him gnash his teeth in anger!
As for how he ended up like this, it all started last night.
After work, Liu Wen was so excited he skipped dinner and went to stake out Shangguan Luohua’s home, waiting for nine o’clock to make his move.
Having already scoped out the place, he climbed from the first-floor window to the fifth floor with practiced ease. As the academy’s physical fitness instructor, he could run at 39.7 meters per second and was close to breaking through to the next rank, which was why he dared to sneak into Shangguan Luohua’s home late at night.
When he reached the fifth-floor balcony and was about to climb in, he suddenly heard the sound of running water. Overcome with excitement, he pressed himself to the glass. Through the curtain, he could make out a faint, blurred silhouette.
Shangguan Luohua was showering!
Even with only a vague outline, he could tell from the curves and contours that it was her.
Excitement and anticipation overwhelmed him. He hurried into the living room through the balcony.
Landing on the floor, he rose with a flourish. Perfect!
“Haha! Now I just need to…” The corners of Liu Wen’s mouth stretched to his ears as visions of passionate entanglements with Shangguan Luohua filled his mind.
Lost in fantasy, he could practically feel her alluring figure in his arms, aching to smash through the window and pull her close.
At that moment, a soft, childish voice piped up behind him: “Hello, mister!”
“Huh?” Liu Wen jumped in fright, spinning around to find a strange little girl standing just behind him.
She was extremely petite, not even reaching his shoulder, looking for all the world like an underage child.
But her chest showed a subtle, graceful curve. Her delicate face was framed by lively, clever eyes; her fair, flawless bottom was tinged with a rosy blush, and her lips were as pink and tender as rose petals—she looked the very picture of innocence.
Liu Wen stared at the porcelain-doll girl, muttering to himself, “Is this Shangguan Luohua’s daughter? I never heard she had a daughter this old. Wait, she does look familiar… where have I seen her before?”
The little girl wasn’t frightened at all. She gazed quietly at Liu Wen, touching her finger thoughtfully to her lips. “But mister, why are you in my house so late at night?”
“Shh! I’m a good friend of your mother’s!” Liu Wen quickly hushed her, afraid Shangguan Luohua would hear.
Upon hearing this, the little girl clasped her hands in front of her chest, her face lighting up with a smile. “That’s wonderful! Mister is my mama’s good friend! Hee hee…”
“Yes, yes, I’m your mama’s good friend!” Liu Wen nodded, grinning. He thought the girl was simply adorable.
At such a young age, she’d inherited Shangguan Luohua’s excellent figure and was so sweet and well-behaved.
“Hee hee…” The little girl’s innocent smile remained, but in the next instant, her demeanor changed entirely.
She stuck out her nimble tongue and licked her tempting lips, her voice suddenly wicked: “Then you can go die now!”
As the strange, childish words fell, Liu Wen’s heart skipped a beat. Looking at her cute face and sharp little canines, he was struck by a sense of unease. There was something too strange, too sinister about this girl.
“Eheheh~” The little girl didn’t give him time to react. The silver ring on her right index finger flashed, and suddenly a black crystal, about the size of a fingernail, appeared. Covered in dense, code-like symbols, it coiled and formed around her small shoulder.
In the blink of an eye, it transformed into a pitch-black rocket launcher over a meter long!
“What!” Liu Wen’s eyes went wide in terror, staring at the massive, head-sized muzzle of the launcher pointed at him.
“A—A Tier-One Mecha Warrior!”
