The Late Impressions of the Three Rivers
According to international conventions, since we've reached the third river, I need to say a few words, but as everyone knows, Er Chong is a shy and reticent person who most dreads such scenes.
First, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the editor Qilin. At the very start of the book, he signed it at lightning speed and encouraged me to try writing entertainment-themed novels featuring elderly protagonists, and even provided 10,000 recommendations during the new book period. Without Qilin's recognition and support, this book might not have the opportunity to meet all of you—I kneel in thanks to Qilin greatly.
Then, I need to kowtow to all you dear reader gentlemen.
Thank you all for your rewards, recommendations, and the 10,000 comment chapters. Currently, Senior has reached 250,000 words, and the total recommendation tickets have skyrocketed to 120,000, marking the peak of Er Chong's new book period recommendation tickets since beginning to write books. In comparison, even among the non-master new books on the platform, it's quite impressive.
However, you shouldn't be complacent; the recommendation tickets still need to be kept up, continue to recommend! Let's see if we can accumulate 200,000 tickets before the release! This is my small goal, and I hope all you gentlemen can fulfill it—kowtow once more.
Then, actually, the main reason for writing this postscript is to chat with everyone about this book.
In the current popular environment on the platform where handsome protagonists dominate, an old man as the protagonist isn't particularly appealing.
So, why still write it?
Because Er Chong is an author who likes to write niche topics; when I just entered the industry, the internet was flooded with various red packet novels, and following the trend with any book would ensure guaranteed success. Er Chong was reckless and chose the car-themed topic he loved, writing Black Automotive Technology.
For the second book, I wanted to write a rebirth novel, but the internet was full of copying songs, stock trading, and flipping money coupons. Recklessly, I wrote Rebirth: I Am My Second Uncle, a transmigration story where I became my own biological father's brother, full of ethical paradoxes in this rural-themed novel.
Actually, it's not that I want to write niche things; I want to stand out and do something different among the countless web novels.
Since entering the industry, although writing books hasn't made me hugely popular, the reader gentlemen have given me face, and every book has entered the platform's premium section. This indicates that not following the routine and focusing on writing what I want to write still has reader gentlemen who are willing to read.
This is the fundamental reason I wrote Senior Superstar—a unique entertainment circle story.
This book is difficult to write because there are too many restrictions. It's impossible for you to have an old man suddenly become the protagonist, relying solely on his looks and strength to dominate the entertainment circle and make all the female stars there worship and submit to him.
Therefore, what you see is a considerable number of elderly humorous daily life stories and small family stories linked to the protagonist.
Every plot is something Er Chong has carefully and thoughtfully pondered. An idea, if I don't laugh at it myself, I won't include it in the main text. A small story, if it doesn't move me to tears, I won't write it into the main text.
They say that the heavens will reward those who are diligent, and I believe it.
Perhaps many people won't like Senior Superstar, and there are indeed many imperfect parts, but I have already exerted my utmost effort.
So, I hope that friends who see this here can give more support in the coming days.
Once again, I kowtow to all you reader gentlemen!
I ask for recommendation tickets, I ask for collections!
