Chapter 128: The Ancient Giant Lizard

After speaking to Fang Panguo, I gave him a faint smile before turning my head toward the man in black suspended in the air.

“What a load of nonsense this ancient giant lizard is. It’s far too weak!” Buck grumbled as he fought the beast, openly voicing his dissatisfaction with the battle.

His muttering struck the man in black like a knife to the heart. Not only had he heard the most painful words imaginable, but he was also watching his ancient giant lizard being tossed around like a toy by Buck. The beast was slammed into the ground again and again, leaving enormous craters and forcing it to cry out miserably.

“Go to hell!”

After what had just happened, Fang Panguo was furious. He rapidly condensed his supernatural power into a dark-purple blade and charged viciously toward the man in black hovering in the air.

By then, the police station had long since collapsed completely. The ancient giant lizard’s hundred-zhang-long body had already reduced the multi-story station to ruins. Under Buck’s assault, however, the beast had begun to fear him.

But Fang Panguo had already engaged him in battle, leaving the man in black no choice but to watch helplessly as Buck tormented the ancient giant lizard, beating it until it desperately searched for somewhere to hide.

“What a pity. This ancient giant lizard probably won’t last much longer. Rather than kill it, wouldn’t it be better to bring it under our control? It’s a valuable creature.”

A voice drifted down from the sky. Two bats several times larger than ordinary bats flew over and landed on my shoulders. They began speaking to me.

“How are we supposed to control something this huge? Where would we put it? And what about the man in black?”

I pointed toward the fighters battling more than twenty meters away and spoke to the two bats perched on my shoulders.

“You don’t understand. This is an ancient mythical beast from another dimension. Its abilities are far greater than they are now. What’s more, the ancient giant lizard clan carries the blood of Eastern dragons. They formed a pact with that man. Once you kill him, the pact will automatically dissolve, and the ancient giant lizard will recognize a new master. It can change its form at will. Do you still think you won’t be able to handle it?”

The slightly larger bat on my left shoulder whispered into my ear.

He was Carter, Te’s father. His strength had now reached the peak of the Vampire Grand Duke realm, and breaking through to become a Blood Emperor was only a matter of time.

“All right. We’re taking this ancient giant lizard.”

After speaking to the two bats, I fell silent. I beat my pale golden wings and crossed my hands over my chest.

My blood-red eyes stared coldly at the two-on-two battle below. The two bats also said nothing more, quietly watching the fight alongside me.

He swung his sword viciously at Buck. Several meters of dark-gray supernatural power burst from the blade and shot straight toward Buck, who stood ten meters away.

If that strike landed, Buck the Kui Ba would probably vanish from this world forever. Thus, at this critical moment, I had no choice but to intervene.
