The Wang Corporation wasn’t far from my college, both situated in the heart of Z City. It was the kind of dream workplace countless people aspired to—a place renowned above all for offering the highest salaries in the entire city, befitting its status as Z City's leading enterprise.

Special and I quickly reached the company's entrance. I’d never taken a close look at this place before, but now I realized just how grand it truly was. The towering building soared dozens of stories into the clouds, every inch of its façade covered in gleaming silver-tinted glass. From the outside, the whole structure shimmered, giving off an air of exceptional prestige.

We stepped inside and immediately set out to find Wang Yong. I took out my phone and called him, and in less than ten minutes, he appeared.

He looked almost unrecognizable: a head of jet-black, glossy hair, a black suit, and a pair of shining black leather shoes. But no matter what he wore, my position commanded his respect.

Wang Yong came over, beaming, and greeted me with a hearty “Boss!” before ushering Special and me into his office.

His office was on the twentieth floor or so, and from there, the view downward was dizzying—almost tempting one to leap into the void.
