“Husband?”
What a strange way to address someone.
Yang Yu frowned and asked, “Excuse me, who are you?”
Hearing her sister’s question, Yang Ye couldn’t help but laugh.
“Are you... my sister?” Long Xiaoqing recognized Yang Yu’s voice and replied cheerfully, “Sister, I’m Long Xiaoqing, Yang Ye’s wife!”
“Xiaoqing...”
“Yes~”
Yang Yu had spoken in confusion, but Long Xiaoqing answered sweetly.
After a moment’s pause, Yang Yu asked, “Xiaoqing, when did you marry Yang Ye?”
As she finished speaking, Yang Yu glanced at Yang Ye, who was looking straight ahead, focused on driving.
“Over two years ago!” Long Xiaoqing replied.
Her answer matched exactly what Yang Ye had said before.
Yang Yu asked again, “Where are you now?”
“I’m on the sea! Sister, I know where my husband is now. I’ll be there soon, goodbye!” With that, Long Xiaoqing hung up the phone.
Originally, she was about to say she was on the Sky Patrol, but remembering how famous the ship was now, she realized it might expose Yang Ye’s identity, so she changed her answer at the last moment.
After hanging up, Long Xiaoqing turned to Mao Li and said, “I’ll be using this phone for a while.”
Mao Li smiled, “Madam, please take your time.”
Long Xiaoqing nodded, then leaped into the sea with a graceful dive.
…
“Who just called? Was it Xiao Ye’s wife?”
Xia Li leaned over, curiosity in her eyes.
Yang Yu hadn’t put the phone on speaker, and with the engine’s hum, Yang Ye could hear the conversation, but Xia Li couldn’t. She could only infer from Yang Yu’s words.
“It seems so,” Yang Yu replied with a smile and a nod.
At that moment, Yang Ye turned to Xia Li, grinning, “Ladies, hold on tight, I’m going to speed up.”
Looking ahead, the two women saw that Benny’s car was already a distant blur.
It was clear Benny was deliberately leaving the convoy behind.
“Is he just showing off?”
Yang Ye sneered. Seeing that his sister and Xia Li had secured themselves with the seat restraints, he floored the accelerator.
With a roar, the engine surged and the car shot forward.
Driving put the driver’s reflexes to the test.
And when it came to reflexes, who among them could outmatch Yang Ye?
With deft and precise adjustments to the steering wheel, Yang Ye kept the car speeding along the smoothest path, fast yet barely jolting.
Soon, Benny’s car grew larger in the windshield.

Seeing Yang Ye’s car about to overtake him, Benny frowned and pressed the accelerator to the floor.
But compared to Yang Ye, Benny’s reaction time was still slower. In no time, Yang Ye caught up and, with a flick of the wheel, overtook Benny’s car with ease.
Soon, Benny was left far behind.
“Boss, those two cars are going way too fast—we can’t keep up,” a guard in the car behind reported anxiously.
Liu Xuan said coolly, “Their cars are equipped with tracking systems. No need to worry.”
…
Yang Yu glanced in the rearview mirror and, seeing Benny’s car falling further behind, asked curiously, “Xiao Ye, what level are you at now?”
She was surprised that Yang Ye could surpass Benny.
It wasn’t just superior driving skills; it was his reaction speed—always letting the car glide over the smoothest ground, which meant less resistance and greater speed.
But Benny was a cultivator at the Stellar Realm!
How could Yang Ye surpass Benny?
“Early Stellar Realm,” Yang Ye replied calmly.
“Stellar Realm… so quickly?” Yang Yu exclaimed in astonishment.
Though she could not cultivate herself, Yang Yu knew how difficult it was to break through to the Stellar Realm.
Just a few months ago, Yang Ye was only at the initial Planetary Realm.
Such rapid progress—it was almost unbelievable!
In the back seat, Xia Li also widened her eyes in surprise.
She hadn’t realized that Yang Ye was a cultivator at the Stellar Realm.
In her mind, Benny was already a genius in the cultivation community, yet Yang Ye, who was much younger, had reached the same level!
“My dear sister, I’m a genius after all!” Yang Ye laughed.
Originally, Yang Ye hadn’t intended to compete with Benny in this way; he simply wanted a few quiet days before returning to Long Xiaoqing’s side.
But unexpectedly, Long Xiaoqing had come out early.
Excited, Yang Ye couldn’t help but outshine Benny.
…
By dusk, Yang Ye brought the car to a stop.
All around was a vast expanse of yellow earth, and under the setting sun, the canyon ahead looked truly magnificent.
The three of them got out and gazed into the distance at the great canyon.
The ground was silent, broken only by the whistling of the wind.
But above, huge vultures circled in the sky.
From time to time, one would dive, then rise clutching a goat or a wolf in its talons.
The other vultures would immediately swoop in to fight for the prey.
“What a… breathtaking sight.”

Seeing such a scene, Xia Li, visiting for the first time, couldn’t help but sigh in wonder.
As night approached, Yang Ye retrieved a tent from the trunk and set it up.
After pitching the tent, he took a grill, fresh mutton, and a case of beer from his storage ring.
Once the three had eaten and drunk their fill, Benny and Liu Xuan’s group finally arrived by car.
By then, the sun had set and the stars twinkled in the sky.
Seeing the relaxed trio, Benny’s expression darkened.
Lina, on the other hand, suddenly grew curious about Yang Ye.
As soon as she got out, Lina ran over, sat by the grill, and took a skewer of lamb.
“This is delicious! As expected from someone from Huaxia.”
After savoring the barbecue, Lina gave Yang Ye a thumbs up.
Benny hesitated, then forced a smile and walked over.
Meanwhile, after getting out, Liu Xuan glanced at the sky, gauged the wind, and then approached Xia Li with a worried look. “Miss, this isn’t a good place to spend the night. I suggest we retreat ten kilometers for safety.”
A wolf’s howl pierced the air as Liu Xuan finished speaking.
Startled by the sound, Liu Xuan frowned. “It’s too late! Miss, get in the car—quickly!”
He immediately directed his men to bring the four vehicles around, forming a protective circle with Xia Li’s car in the center.
Xia Li, Yang Yu, and Lina all got into the car.
Liu Xuan’s fifteen guards drew their weapons, faces tense with vigilance.
No sooner had they finished preparing than the wolf pack arrived.
All around, a sea of black.
Yang Ye scanned the scene, inwardly alarmed.
It was his first time seeing so many wolves.
There must have been thousands.
Some were as large as calves, their eyes glowing red in the night.
These giant wolves were clearly star beasts.
“Why are there so many?”
Yang Ye looked at Liu Xuan, curiosity in his voice.
Liu Xuan frowned. “A single wolf pack wouldn’t gather in such numbers. Most likely, a dozen or more packs have joined forces. Nearly all the wolves in the canyon must be gathered here. It’s very strange!”
“What do you mean?” Yang Ye asked again.
Liu Xuan replied, “There must be some reason the wolves are migrating out of the canyon, and we happened to be in their path. The wolves here harbor deep hatred for humans. Tonight, it’s either them or us—until one side is wiped out, the fighting won’t stop!”
