Qin Wanyi stared at the disheveled Jiang Yi on the floor, her brows furrowed in disbelief, her anger curdling into a cold, sharp sneer.

Deep inside, however, she was in agony. She had poured years of genuine devotion into Jiang Yi, only for their relationship to fall apart in the end, with him heaping every bit of filth upon her as their final act.

With a cold, impassive face, she looked down at him, her alluring red lips curling into a haughty, domineering smirk. She reached out and patted his cheek with chilled fingertips. "Well done."

"Qin Wanyi! You bitch!" Jiang Yi’s eyes bulged with rage. His last shred of composure shattered, and he roared through gritted teeth. He tried to lunge upward, but a sudden weight pressed down on his shoulder, pinning him in place.

Qin Wanyi, her expression indifferent, leaned back against the sofa with affected ease. "What? Is it only acceptable for you to dally with your 'white moonlight' while leaving me to wither away in an empty house?"

Jiang Yi tilted his head back, his eyes burning with a fire that seemed ready to consume him. "Have you really thought this through? You want a divorce? Qin Wanyi, you will regret this."

She let out a cold, soft laugh. "Don't worry, I won't. In fact, you should be thanking me."

She set her injured foot down and stood up with an imposing air. "Thank me for fulfilling your desire to be with Lin Xiaoxiao."

Outwardly, she was as calm as still water, but inside, she was shredded to pieces. She raised her eyes with a light smile, forcing back the tears that threatened to spill.

Jiang Yi did not see this. He only knew that this woman was heartlessly demanding a divorce—and, most ridiculously, because of a dog!

Fury burned through Jiang Yi; his cheek stung as if he had been slapped. "Qin Wanyi! You shameless, promiscuous bitch!"

He bellowed, his eyes bloodshot, struggling to stand, but the pressure on his shoulder intensified. A single hand held him down, rendering him immobile.

"Get your hands off me, you bastard!" He turned and roared at the man behind him. Pei Yunian remained unfazed, his expression cold as he pressed down harder, pinning him firmly to the floor.

Jiang Yi was so angry his face contorted, but he was helpless. He gasped for air, his eyes bloodshot.

"Qin Wanyi, you’ve really gone too far! You’re divorcing me over a damn dog?"

Qin Wanyi crossed her arms, refusing to grant him even a glance. "Sign the papers and get out."

He had never felt such humiliating powerlessness. He ground his teeth until they clicked, glaring viciously at the man behind him, then flicked a glance at the silent Qin Wanyi.

A cold, sinister glint passed through his eyes, and he suddenly let out a mocking laugh, feigning a sudden realization.

"Ha! I was wondering why you were so desperate to marry me before, and now you suddenly want a divorce. You..." Jiang Yi paused, glancing at the stone-faced Pei Yunian.

"You two have been sleeping together for a long time, haven't you? Tell me, how many times have you been to bed?"

Jiang Yi stared at Qin Wanyi with shameless accusations.

She could accept that Jiang Yi did not love her; she could accept the divorce. But she could not tolerate his slander.

"Pah! And here I thought you were so pure. Turns out you’ve been messing around with this dog all along." The man sneered mockingly.

Qin Wanyi suddenly lowered her gaze, glaring at him. "Jiang Yi! You are a complete piece of trash!"

Her fists tightened, and she raised her foot to strike, but Pei Yunian intervened with a swift, heavy punch.

Watching Jiang Yi collapse to the ground, his body twitching uncontrollably, his head ringing from the impact, she stood frozen for a moment. Her injured ankle, combined with the rage stirred by Jiang Yi’s words, left her feeling dizzy and pale.

Before she could recover, she found herself swept into Pei Yunian’s arms. Her eyes turned cold, and she slapped him across the face, leaving a red mark on his already bruised skin.

"Who gave you the nerve to touch me! Put me down, or I’ll destroy you!"

Qin Wanyi gripped the man’s collar, warning him with breathless fury.

The man’s head turned from the force of the blow, yet his expression remained devoid of ripples. Instead, as he met her gaze, the tenderness in his eyes seemed ready to overflow.

He adjusted his hold on her gently, murmuring obediently, "I cannot allow the young lady to lose face."

Qin Wanyi paused, savoring the meaning of his words, and subconsciously cast a glance at the still-dazed Jiang Yi on the floor.

"The young lady is full of anger; you may punish me however you wish once we return," Pei Yunian whispered, his voice so soft that only she could hear.

She reluctantly suppressed her temper and fell silent.

Pei Yunian carried her with careful, measured steps and tucked her into the car. The moment he closed the door, he turned, his expression turning cold and venomous.

"Finish him off," he said with icy indifference, before walking around the car and driving away.

Having regained his senses, Jiang Yi crawled up from the ground, swearing, "Qin Wanyi, you bitch..."

Before he could finish, his view was blocked. He looked up in a panic to find himself surrounded.

These men were menacing, and they were certainly not his own people. "What are you doing? I’m warning you, this is my house! If you dare to touch me, you won't even know how you died tomorrow."

They were unfazed by his threats, cracking their knuckles without a flicker of emotion. The villa was soon filled with screams.

When he woke up again, Jiang Yi was lying in a hospital bed. His previous injuries had not yet healed, and this had only added salt to the wound.

Even the slightest movement made his bones feel as if they were being ground into dust, the pain forcing his face into a grimace.

"Brother Yi~ You’ve finally woken up. You scared me to death." Seeing him awake, Lin Xiaoxiao burst into tears.

Recalling the events at the villa, he pounded his fist on the bed, which tugged at his wounds and made his vision go black.

"It’s all that bitch Qin Wanyi!" he roared through gritted teeth.

Lin Xiaoxiao sniffled, feigning shock. "Brother Yi, what are you saying? You were beaten like this... and it has to do with Qin Wanyi?"

Jiang Yi felt aggrieved and furious. It was too humiliating to admit the truth, so he kept his emotions bottled up.

"How could this happen? Is it because of me? I’ll go explain it to her right now." Lin Xiaoxiao pretended to stand, but the man stopped her.

"It has nothing to do with you," he replied, his face grim, still refusing to recount what had truly transpired.

"Then it’s her fault. You are husband and wife, after all—a day as husband and wife brings a hundred days of grace. How could she beat you like this?" Lin Xiaoxiao stroked the man's injuries with pity, tears streaming down her face.

Every teardrop felt like a strike to the man’s heart.

When Lin Xiaoxiao had arrived, there was no one left in the villa. There was only total chaos and Jiang Yi, lying on the floor, covered in blood.

She had rushed him to the hospital immediately, unaware of what had occurred. But looking at the situation, Lin Xiaoxiao could sense that he must have had a falling out with Qin Wanyi.

The more Jiang Yi thought about it, the more stifled he felt. Hearing Lin Xiaoxiao’s complaints, he let all his pent-up resentment spill out.

"Qin Wanyi is a shameless bitch! She actually had that dog... beat me into this state!"
